Carbon markets

Carbon market allows companies to offset their unavoidable emissions by purchasing carbon credits from the projects who avoid or reduce carbon emissions. One Carbon credit corresponds to one metric ton of CO2 equivalent GHG emissions avoided or reduced.
Carbon consultant can guide companies through the complexity of the emission reduction or removal calculations. The entire process of registering a project in a relevant carbon mechanism and then generate carbon finance is managed by the carbon consultant.
Yes, we provide a well-established carbon trading facility for companies to buy or sell carbon credits. We have registry accounts with various carbon mechanism that gives us the advantage of easy trading of credits.
There are several carbon mechanisms Kosher Climate work with currently. Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard (GS), Global Carbon Council (GCC) and Universal Carbon Registry (UCR) are few of the examples of carbon mechanisms Kosher is affiliated with.

Project development

Any project that helps avoid or reduce GHG emissions are eligible for registration in carbon mechanism. Examples of projects include but not limited to renewable energy projects, forestry and sustainable agriculture project and clean cooking projects. In ever changing carbon markets, new methodologies are continuously developed by carbon registries to include various new green projects.

A standard lifecycle of a carbon project involves five stages. These are validation, registration, monitoring, verification and issuance or sale of credits. Kosher climate consult companies during all the stages.

All stakeholders involved in the project will get benefits from the project. Community will gain the advantage of employment generation, increased livelihood opportunities and improved resources from the project. Carbon revenue generated from the project is shared with communities, implementing agency, land owners (private and government) and carbon facilitator.
Blue carbon: Mangroves, seagrass and tidal/salt marshes has the highest potential to absorb atmospheric carbon dioxide among all the nature-based solutions. Restoration and conservation of these ecosystemsare eligible under carbon mechanisms.

Forestry: Safeguarding and restoring natural forests by plantations or protection activities that contributes to defending local biodiversity can be developed as forestry carbon project.

Agriculture: Change the traditional practices to sustainable agricultural practices and better management of agricultural waste can be eligible to generate credit.

Cookstove: Replacement of traditional cookstove to more energy efficient cookstove that can also contribute to health benefits are eligible to generate carbon credits.
